Everyone should read this. The uprising will not go away.
Because you’ve been around a rapist and probably didn’t know it.

Happy Birthday, Julia. You’re still an inspiration.
Today would have been Julia Child’s 99th birthday. Above: Julia Child on Fresh Air in 1989.

I’m going to say this from my loins. I’m sure you know of that area; you are assaulting it from every direction possible.
STOP FUCKING WITH MY RIGHTS.
It is none of your business what a woman decides to do with a pregnancy, especially when you try to tack anti-abortion measures to Korean trade agreements.
How dare you decide I have to view a sonogram if I want an abortion.
How dare you only allow 2 days to comply with new (and ridiculous) regulations.
How dare you pass the “heartbeat bill” and “fetal pain” laws when the fact is, a heartbeat doesn’t mean viability, there is no medical concensus on fetal pain, and you expect me to carry to term because you deem it morally best. Morals have nothing to do with your imposing decisions about my family planning.
I am disgusted by these pro-life radicals. I am disgusted by the state governments and by my fellow citizens for allowing such ridiculous events to pass.
Ohio’s ”Heartbeat Bill” would be hilarious if it weren’t so upsetting to me as a woman. Explain to me how this is about women’s rights.
Today, I began reading Part 4 of The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest.
I just learned about a women’s army among the Fon of Dahomey in West Africa, now Benin - where only one scholarly work has ever been written about such women, Amazons of Black Sparta by Stanley B. Alpern, which you find on Amazon.com (haha?).
The army had not been defeated until 1892 because France sent in artillery, Foreign Legion, marine infantry, and cavalry…
I think we need to start this army up again.
